ATLANTIC Mineralölwerk GmbH is a long-established, owner-managed company based in Dollern near Hamburg and currently employs 40 people. Since 1922, the specialists have been involved in the production of high-quality products and are constantly developing innovative new products. The company focuses on the manufacture of cleaning and care products for the two-wheeler and automotive sector, in the contract filling of liquid and pasty oil-based products and in the production of specialties for workshops and farms. Mr. Udo Meyer, authorized signatory and for 20 years at Atlantic Mineralölwerk GmbH, describes his experiences with SelectLine and Viebrock Datenservice.

VIEBROCK: Mr Schliecker, let’s take a look back: what was the initial situation and what was your original objective when you were interested in SelectLine?

H. Schliecker: We worked with an order processing program that did not meet the latest standards. In 2002, two companies, Mineralölwerk and Atlantic GmbH, merged and we had to make more and more compromises, but ultimately the program had reached its limits. That’s why we were looking for a new ERP program and looked at several of them. The aim was to illustrate the operational processes in the Wawi.

VIEBROCK: What made the decision to choose the SelectLine?

H. Schliecker: The SelectLine is practically self-explanatory and very easy to learn and meets our operational requirements. In addition, the good cost-benefit ratio convinced us.

VIEBROCK: What concrete improvements have resulted from the purchase of SelectLine for you?

VIEBROCK: How do you rate the cooperation with VIEBROCK, is there something you particularly appreciate about us?

H. Schliecker: The joint work in the installation was an effective interaction and, especially by Mr. Poppe, very purposeful. He quickly got involved in the in-house processes and implemented them, which enabled us to achieve our goals in the shortest possible time. I appreciate the competence and reliability of the Viebrock team and I can say that our company is well looked after.
