Obligation to record working hours – EuGH judgment C-55/18

§

On May 14, 2019, the judgment on the obligation to record working hours was decided by the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. Accordingly, all companies within the EU should be obliged to record all working hours of the employees.

This is to ensure that the daily working hours of each employee can be measured. Employers are therefore obliged to provide an objective, reliable and accessible system.
So far, however, no period has been set in which this is mandatory.
